Govt flayed for reprimanding cops in Tawadkar case

MARGAO: Adv Aires Rodrigues on Monday strongly condemned the alleged highhandedness of the Government in reprimanding police officers for charge sheeting Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar in the 2009 Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary rioting case.

MARGAO: Adv Aires Rodrigues on Monday strongly condemned the alleged highhandedness of the Government in reprimanding police officers for charge sheeting Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar in the 2009 Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary rioting case.
He said he would be writing to the Chief Justice of India giving complete details of the political interference in the Tawadkar case besides other criminal cases involving ruling politicians where the wheels of Justice have been allegedly highjacked by the Govt. 
Tawadkar was charge sheeted this year for having barged into RFO office at Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary along with a mob and forcibly and for taking away two accused who were in RFO’s custody.
