Govt got stuck in the fake news tangle: Baba Ramdev

If PM hadn’t intervened (to withdraw statement linking accreditation with fake news) things would have been different

PANJIM: Yoga expert turned entrepreneur Baba Ramdev, who is giving sleepless nights to many multinational FMCG companies, used the platform of Goafest 2018 to take a dig at all and sundry.
Beginning his 40-minute speech by reciting the Gayatri Mantra, Baba Ramdev said, “In my last 30 years of experience, I have always come across only problems. People hardly come to me with good news, may be twice or thrice. About 99 per cent, I hear bad and fake news only. Fake news kay chakkar mein government bhi phas gayee, badi mushkil sey nikli hai (On the issue of fake news, even the government got entangled itself recently. It has come out of this imbroglio with lot of difficulties). If Modi ji would not have taken the initiative, the scenario would have been different.”
Addressing a packed hall, Ramdev said that wherever there is low risk, the achievement will also be low. “People who know to talk can survive by charging Rs one crore per lecture. So far, I have not charged but my options are open. Those who are experts in their subject, their knowledge, experience, emotions will sell. This knowledge can be created into wealth,” he added.
Sharing his experience, he said that if one does not save anything for oneself, that person gets everything in life. “If you have some savings then you will get little but not enough. If one has to make it big, one has to sacrifice everything and give an all out effort to achieve it or else one can sell peanuts, tea and pakoras.”
Talking about ease of doing business in India, he said, “We only hear that there are many problems in India which hinders business. If there are problems, there have to be opportunity too. The growth rate in Britain and America is hardly 2 per cent and India is having nearly 10 per cent growth rate and like Patanjali one can get 100 per cent growth rate too. You will only get this opportunity in India.”
