Govt guesthouse at Curti to be ready by May 2020: CM

Assures to sanction Rs 1.30 crore for the pending project

PONDA: Stating that the government guesthouse at Curti will be completed by May 2020, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured to sanction Rs 1.30 crore for the pending project undertaken by Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
Sawant made this statement during his recent visit to inspect the construction work of project.
Cooperation Minister Govind Gaude and Ponda MLA Ravi Naik were also present for the inspection.
It is pertinent to note that MLA Naik has been instrumental in bringing the project. Till date round 70 per cent work has been completed. The project’s initial cost was Rs 4 crore but due to pending work it is estimated to cost an additional Rs 1.30 crore for its completion.
The project has been undertaken by government as most of time several government guesthouses need accommodation, which burdens the State’s coffers.
Further, the project would generate revenue for the State with accommodation for the tourists.
