PANJIM: Stating that state govt had no right to question Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Sunday rally expenditure, Goans for Goa (GFG) demanded that the BJP instead make public the expenses for Modi’s Merces rally during the last Lok Sabha elections where he had promised to grant Special Status to Goans, and later took a U-turn on the same.
GFG also demanded that the BJP submit their accounts for the massive birthday bash of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar held at Campal grounds.
It looks like the arrival of AAP in Goa has got the rival political camps jittery, forcing them to make foot in the mouth statements, by taking hurried press conferences, it added.
GFG would like to tell the BJP president Vinay Tendulkar that Arvind Kejriwal has rightly pointed out that the current BJP government and the erstwhile Congress govt have virtually converted the state into a den for sex, drugs and gambling, and that every Goan endorses this view point. Bearing these factors in mind, it’s not Kejriwal who has to apologise, but the BJP govt to the people of Goa, for turning the state into a den for these nefarious activities, and for making U-turns on its pre-poll promises.
“GFG, is a non-political NGO and is not affiliated to any party. But we will not turn a nelson eye, and will not hesitate to speak out the truth before the public, in the interest of Goa and Goans,” said Kennedy Afonso, GFG President.
