PONDA: Goa Suraksha Manch President Nitin Faldesai, along with Ponda Chief Harshad Devari and Shiroda Chief Santosh Satarkar addressing to media, said while Government is seen addressing issues of sugarcane farmers, sugar cane transporters, the problems faced by 110 fixed employees of Sanjivani Sugar Factory are almost ignored by Government.
He said these employees are getting meagre salary but bonus arrears are pending since 2014- 19. They are unable to clear their loans and meet daily expenses due to poor salary.
He said this sugar factory is less likely to operate for next three years and so government should absorb them in various government departments so that they would get better salary.
He said few employees are already given placements in some government departments but there is a need to absorb all of them.
He said politicians have their eye on Sanjivani land and opposed to use of 17 lakh square metres of Sanjivani Sugar Factory land for other purposes other than Sugar factory.
