MARGAO: President of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Beena Naik, on Thursday, strongly condemned the BJP government and said that the government lacks foresightedness and proper planning at the Centre as well as in the BJP ruled States which has taken a setback in COVID vaccination drive.
She said, “The government should have seen and planned the number of vaccinations required for a State like Goa. The vaccination drive which they decided to start on May 1 has stopped as the government was unable to foresee things. Goa being a small State it would not have been impossible for the government to compute the requirement of vaccines.”
The GMCC President further said that the vaccination centres chosen by the State government are limited, and moreover, some of these centres were kept closed for a few days giving an excuse of Code of Conduct; when vaccination drive had nothing to do with Code of Conduct. If it is so, they should have intimated the people through local dailies, she stated.
