MAPUSA: The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress on Saturday demanded with the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to reveal the present status of investigation in Siddhi Naik death case.

The GPYC visited the family members of Siddhi Naik, who was found dead on Calangute Beach, two months ago.

GPYC President Adv Varad Mardolkar said, “The BJP government headed by Pramod Sawant has failed in maintaining law and order in the State. Father of the victim is seeking justice for his daughter and the government needs to respect him and the victim,” Mardolkar said.

Referring to the death case of parking attendant in Anjuna, Mardolkar said, “Now even tourist are coming in Goa and killing our Goans. This is happening because there is no fear of law in Goa. It is evident that the government has failed to promptly investigate the crimes and bring justice. This very act of police is encouraging the criminals,” Mardolkar said.

Adv Mardolkar said that they will fight to seek justice to Siddhi and her family. Criminals should not go scot free.
