PANJIM/PONDA: The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) sleuths on Tuesday registered a case against some government officials for misappropriating funds of approximately Rs 18.60 lakh from the State exchequer, under the Green Fodder Crop Cultivation scheme.
A case under sections 120-B and 409 of IPC, and sections 13 (1) (d), 13 (i) (ii) and 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 was registered taking cognisance of a complaint filed by Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies (Ponda) V B Devidas.
The FIR names Chairman of Navajivan Dudh Sahakari Society Bolkarnnem Sancordem Madhavrao Dessai, Managing Director and officials of the Goa Milk Union and others in Curti, Ponda for the alleged offence.
