PANJIM: The State government on Wednesday issued fresh order restricting entry into casinos, restaurants, pubs, spas, cinema halls and other places where people tend to gather in groups amid spike in COVID-19 cases.
Also only fully vaccinated people or those carrying 24-hour valid COVID-19 negative RT-PCR test certificate/report will now be permitted to attend events including parties, marriages, gatherings etc in the State.
As per the order issued by SEC/SDMA Member Secretary Sanjay Kumar, casinos will operate only up to 50 per cent capacity.
Entry will be allowed to only fully vaccinated (both doses) or those possessing 24-hour valid RT-PCR certificate while, cinema halls, auditoriums, community halls, river cruises, water parks, entertainment parks have been asked not to operate beyond 50 per cent of the seating capacity and to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols including use of face masks, hand sanitisers and thermal screening etc.
Places of amusement, spas, massage parlours, restaurants, pubs, bars, halls, auditoriums, gyms, marriage venues, cinema halls, river cruises, water parks, entertainment parks have been asked to allow entry in the State only to fully vaccinated or those carrying 24-hour valid RT-PCR COVID-19 negative certificate.
