BICHOLIM: The Mayem Bhuvimochan Nagrik Kruti Samiti (MBNKS) on Thursday congratulated the BJP government for fulfilling its promise of solving the vexed Mayem Custodian issue, there by giving relief to the people of Mayem.
Speaking to reporters, MBNKS President Kashinath Mayekar said the issue had stretched for several decades. “Previous governments were not ready to solve the problem and only gave the people assurances. We are happy that the governor accepted the draft proposed by the government and Parrikar has assured that the people from Mayem would become legal heirs of their land,” said an elated Mayekar.
