PANJIM: State government on Thursday ordered closer of all wildlife sanctuaries and the State’s only zoo and national park for public and tourists to curb the possible spread of the virus among animals.
Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (APCCF) Santosh Kumar in the order issued mentioned that the same is in pursuance of the advisory by the Union ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).
The Ministry on April 30 had ordered closure of all sanctuaries, national parks and other protected areas across nation with immediate effect till further orders.
