Govt reconstitutes advisory panel for Arch College

PANJIM: The State government has reconstituted the Governing Committee cum Advisory Committee for Goa College of Architecture, who will advise in curriculum development, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the college.

The 11-member Committee headed by former member of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Narendra Dengle will be for a period of three years with effect from August 18, 2020. The committee has to monitor the academic activities of the college and has to also assist the college in collaboration with industry or companies for faculty training, knowledge exchange, consultancy activities, etc.

The Committee has to also identify the training needs of the students, faculty and staff and propose a plan for implementation of the same.

It will also have to assist and monitor the student placements, formulate plans and guide them on career prospects, job opportunities and internships.

The Committee will have to advise the college on upkeeps, maintenance and infrastructure needs, if any.
