Govt reshuffles senior grade officers

PANJIM, MAY 6
In a major reshuffle, the State personnel department has transferred several senior grade officers including Excise Commissioner Sandip Jacques, which was demanded by the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party alleging his involvement in the Rs 40 cr Excise scam.
Jacques has now been given charge as the Commissioner Commercial Taxes Department.
Director of Lotteries TS Reddy has been given charge as the Commissioner of Excise while Sanjeev Gadkar, Director Women and Child department, has been given additional charge of Director Lotteries.
Vallabh Kamat has been transferred as the managing director of Goa Industrial Development Corporation.
Interestingly, Director of Tourism Swapnil Naik has been transferred and posted as the is Director of Transport.
Nikhil Desai, who is already holding two charges of MD GHRSSIDC and MD GTDC has been given additional charge of Director Tourism.
Director of Transport Venancio Furtado has been posted as managing director of Kadamba Transport Corporation.
Administrative Director of Health TS Sawant has been posted as Project Director GRDA while SV Naik, executive director of Goa Medical College has been posted as Administrative Director of Health.
