MARGAO: Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai has questioned the intention of the ruling BJP Government on whether it is reviewing the preparedness or the politics in Goa.
In a series of tweets, Vijai said the pettiness of excluding Opposition MLAs from discussions on a crisis that affects public health smacks of the growing insecurity and self-doubt that’s plaguing the BJP MLAs and according to him they have nothing to offer, but their inherent ignorance and natural impotence.
The MLA said that it is a shame that even when community transmission is full on in Salcete, the Goa Government cannot see beyond their party – the BJP in its fight against the pandemic. “Enjoying, keeping majority of the legislators out of the loop, is revelling like frogs in a pond,” he alleged.
“Ministers allotted the talukas, are meeting officials and ruling MLAs to discuss COVID-19 outbreak sans opposition MLAs,” he said.
