Govt revokes suspension of Dr Bandekar

PANJIM: The State government on Friday revoked the suspension of Head of the Goa Medical College Orthopedics Department Dr Shivanand M Bandekar, who was suspended on charges of indulging in private practice. He has been was reinstated without assigning any reason.

PANJIM: The State government on Friday revoked the suspension of Head of the Goa Medical College Orthopedics Department Dr Shivanand M Bandekar, who was suspended on charges of indulging in private practice. He has been was reinstated without assigning any reason. 
Dean of Goa Medical College confirmed the development and informed that he resumed office on Friday. 
“The government has revoked his suspension order, he joined yesterday (Friday),” Dr Jindal said while speaking to Herald on Saturday. 
When asked the reasons for the revocation, Dr Jindal said: “Nothing was mentioned in the letter.”
Bandekar was suspended on charges of private practice and faced a surrender of his non-practicing allowance, if the charges against him were proven.
