PANJIM: The State government on Tuesday sought four weeks time in the High Court to file its reply to the application seeking selection committee reports regarding recruitment in the Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim.
Hearing a writ petition filed by Shailendra Velingkar, challenging the GMC recruitment process, the court granted four weeks to the government to file its reply and admitted an amendment application submitted by the petitioner.
The petitioner requested the court to direct the government to produce the departmental selection committee reports.
The petitioner has alleged that between January 2022 i.e. filing of the petition to date several illegalities in the recruitment process have come to light.
He claimed that 1,372 candidates whose names were published in the notice have not received any appointment letters.
