MARGAO: The government on Saturday approved the demand put forth by the GMEA to hike the salaries of nearly 2,000 daily wage workers employed in different municipalities
GMEA president Keshav Prabhu said daily wage workers will now draw a salary of nearly Rs 18,000-20,000
“We had also demanded to regularise them, besides leave of 15 days. The CM has approved the demand of hike in salaries, besides leave of 15 days to the daily wage workers. The workers will also have insurance cover,” Prabhu said.
