PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that his government will provide all the required help to make Goa a ‘Yog Bhumi’.
Sawant hailed the research in yoga and naturopathy conducted by a team under the guidance of Baba Ramdev.
The Chief Minister was speaking to mediapersons after launching three-Day Yog Shibir by offering Abhishek Pooja to Lord Shiva on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
“I assure you that the State government will provide all the help required to make Goa as ‘Yog Bhumi’,” he said.
Sawant appealed to the people to participate in the Yoga Shibir to adopt healthy lifestyles. Speaking earlier, Baba Ramdev said, “It is also my dream that Goa should be the centre of wellness, through wellness and spiritual tourism, the tourists who come to Goa should also come here to cure their blood pressure, sugar, thyroid and cancer,” he added.
