PANJIM: All the activities related to the State government’s ambitious ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat-Swayampurna Goa’ programme will recommence from July 3.
In view of rising COVID-19 cases across the State, the government had temporarily suspended the activities from May 1 onwards.
Director of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation Dr Durga Prasad in a circular issued on Monday said that the government has decided to resume Atmanirbhar Bharat-Swayampurna Goa programme in municipalities and panchayat areas with effect from July 3.
As such, all the concerned Swayampurna Mitras, Swayampurna Paryavekshaks, taluka nodal officers and nodal and link officers are directed to carry out their activities under the programme in their respective jurisdiction.
He said that the order issued on April 26, suspending the activities, stands withdrawn.
The programme, launched on October 2, across all local bodies, has the objective to take government schemes to the door steps of each and every citizens of the State, to attain self sustainability by identifying and tapping the potential and also identifying the skills of the unemployed youth and needs of the people.
Government intends to make Goa Swayampurna by December 19, 2021.
