CM Pramod Sawant on Monday inaugurated the renovated Chamber of office of the Goa Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes at Patto, Panjim. With only 3 % of tribals who have been given dwelling rights in the forests out of the 10 thousand cases, CM Sawant informed that the government will resolve all the cases in a phased manner.
He also said that despite the SC/ST act being formulated in 2010, the implementation has begun under Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar when he was the SC/ST Commissioner. The work on establishing Tribal Research Centre as well as Tribal Museum in Goa will be fast-tracked he said
