Margao: GOACAN has called on the District Collector to stop the driving of vehicles on beaches of South Goa and ensure the safety of people visiting the beaches during the present tourism season.

GOACAN pointed out that news reports on Herald have highlighted how vehicles are being brazenly driven on the beaches of Salcete taluka thereby endangering the lives of locals and domestic and foreign tourists visiting the beaches.

It also asked for stricter implementation and awareness on the District Collector’s order of August 2018, which had prohibited the movement of vehicles on the beaches.
