Govt urges schools to prepare for heatwave in weeks ahead

PANJIM: In view of the rising temperatures in the State, the Directorate of Education on Friday directed schools to take precautionary measures to tackle the heatwave, in a circular issued by DoE Shailesh Sinai Zingde 

The circular has advised avoiding heat exposure, wearing lightweight, light-coloured, loose cotton clothes, covering the head, and staying hydrated to beat the heat. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature is very likely to be in the range of 32-34°C across both districts for the next seven days.
