PANJIM: The notification issued by the State government for next month’s panchayat elections does not reflect reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities and this could be a ploy to further delay the polls, Aldona MLA Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira said.
Ferreira said that the State government has deliberately withheld data on OBC reservations, and refrained from submitting it to the State Election Commission (SEC).
“The OBC community needs our help. The government deliberately wants to marginalise this community.,” the MLA said.
