BICHOLIM: Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani stated that people want change and the government’s motto is to give a change by developing the country.
Irani was speaking at Sanquelim on Sunday at a programme held to mark three years of Modi government.
Coming down heavily on Congress government, Irani said that the constituency of Amethi ruled by Congress remained underdeveloped till the time Modi government came to power. She also told about several schemes introduced by the government.
“This is a chance to give thanks to people for giving us the opportunity to serve the nation,” Irani said.
On the occasion, Speaker Dr Pramod Sawant stated that Modi government has gone to poor people with the several schemes. He also mentioned about the schemes implemented by the central government.
Ayush Minister Shripad Naik also spoke on the occasion.
