PANJIM: Secretary Education Nila Mohanan on Wednesday said that government is yet to take any decision with regards to reopening of schools for the new academic year 2020-21.
Speaking to media persons, Mohanan said no decision has been taken on reopening of schools by the government, so far.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) is in process of compiling feedback from schools and parents associations with regards to reopening of educational institutions.
DoE had earlier this month announced that the decision on reopening schools and colleges for the academic year 2020-21 will be taken in July.
It had directed schools to hold consultations with parents and other stakeholders on reopening educational institutions, as per directions of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
