PANJIM: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) has called off Tuesday’s protest march to the Raj Bhavan on the issue of Pegasus snooping and Goa related issues in view of the devastation caused due to unprecedented floods which had caused damage to the extent of multiple crore to property, nature and cattle etc.
Instead, party delegation will meet Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai at Raj Bhavan at 4 pm on Tuesday (July 27) and submit two memorandums to him.
GPCC president Girish Chodankar on Monday said after consulting Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, GPCC general secretary and protest march incharge Agnel Fernandes and AICC incharge of Goa desk Dinesh Gundu Rao, it was decided to place interest of Goans suffering due to floods above politics.
