MARGAO: The Managing Committee of Goa Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan (GPMSA) passed a resolution to be sent to Chief Minister and collectors North and South Districts against the escort service websites promoting sex tourism in Goa.
GPMSA President Nelly Rodrigues said she had sent a letter to all officials requesting to ban the blatant promotion of sex trade in the guise of tourism and urged the Crime Branch to act and shut down such website immediately.
Perpetual Fernandes congratulated WRD Minister Vinod Palienkar for not allowing EDM festivals in his constituency. These festivals do more harm than good to youth she said.
Maria Monteiro said the people’s sentiments are to be respected and NGT cases, which were shifted to Delhi should be brought back in Pune.
She also voiced concerned about increase in rape and violence against women in Goa.
