GPPDA places Kadamba land for scrutiny

PANJIM: The Greater Panaji Planning and Development Authority (GPPDA) has adopted the Land Use Map and Register of the Kadamba Planning Area and a notice regarding this has been published. 

This was done after incorporating certain changes that it received objections and suggestions from the public. 

GGPDA’s member secretary R K Pandita pointed out that following the preparation of the Land Use Map and Register, it was placed before the public from whom objections and suggestions were invited. 

It was also placed for referral to the village panchayats of Chimbel, Old Goa and Curca-Bambolim-Talaulim.

Thereafter, under Section 27(3) of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1974, a committee was appointed to hear the public objections and prepare the report to the Planning and Development Authority.

The Authority subsequently considered the report of the Committee with some modifications and unanimously resolved to adopt the said Land Use Map and Register of Kadamba Planning Area.

GPPDA also informed that the copies of the land use map and register maybe inspected at the aforementioned panchayats as well as at the GPPDA office at Mala in Panjim.
