PANJIM: The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has convened 59 Department Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting in three months as it now geared up to conduct one of the biggest prescreening of Junior Scale Officers (JSOs), from Saturday.
During this period of three months, the GPSC has also lifted probation of government officers.
“A total of 166 officers were promoted whilst the probation period of 110 officers was declared to have been successfully completed. Amongst the promoted officers 41 were promoted to the position of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in the Electricity Department while 21 officers were promoted to the Senior Scale of Goa Civil Service and 15 officers were promoted to the position of Deputy Director of Accounts in Directorate of Accounts. Similarly, 12 officials were promoted to Executive Engineer in Water Resources Department,” GPSC Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha said.
