GPYC lauds NGOs on linear projects

PANJIM: The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress (GPYC) has congratulated Goan NGOs following recommendation of the Supreme Court appointed Central Empowered Committee against the three controversial linear projects. 

“GPYC lauds the collective effort of various groups to protect Goa’s fragile ecosystem and seeking suspension of railway double tracking from Kulem to Castle Rock and Tamnar transmission power lines and permission of National Highway-4 subject to environmental clearance,” said GPYC President Varad Mardolkar.

He said that keeping in mind how fragile the environment, flora and fauna and the way of life of local people is in the State, we have the utmost respect for the Goa Foundation,  their team of legal experts, Goencho Avaaz, Fr Bolmax Pereira, his youth groups, Goencho Ekvott and all other NGOs/organisations.
