MARGAO: Taking serious note of the issue highlighted in Herald pertaining to stray cattle, the Green Goa Foundation (GGF) held Margao Municipal Council responsible for its failure in handling the issue.
GGF also accused the civic body of inefficiency and negligence over the issue.
Raison Almeida, Chairman of GGF said, “MMC has also failed to enforce the High Court directives. The failure in handling the stray cattle menace in Margao amounts to contempt of court.”
GGF has further warned the civic body of filing a petition before the High Court for contempt proceedings.
