PANJIM: A group of researchers and writers has castigated around 14 Konkani Sahitya Akademi awardees, who recently publicly declared their protest over the rising intolerance and communal atmosphere across the country.
Jason Keith Fernandes, Dale Luis Menezes, Amita Kanekar, Vishvesh Kandolkar and Kaustubh Naik have termed this protest as ‘hypocrisy’ arguing these awarded writers, authors and thinkers failed to raise concerns on several other local issues.
