BICHOLIM: A group of ‘Good Samaritans’ from Bicholim have taken a special initiative to help the poor and needy from Bicholim affected by the lockdown.
The group functions under the banner ‘Bapuji Welfare Trust’. In WhatsApp, the group has said that they provide, house to house, free food packets to daily wage workers and those who are unable to arrange for food.
The phone numbers of the group are also circulated on WhatsApp. Those in need may call the numbers, and lunch and dinner would be delivered to the home of the caller. The services is restricted to only Bicholim residents.
