PONDA: There seems to be stiff opposition to the Gobi Manchurian stalls at the zatras in Ponda taluka not only from locals but also the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) due to poor sanitary conditions.
Locals alleged that four stalls at the zatra were opposed as they were preparing food in an unhygienic condition and serving it to customers.
Locals stated that they had even brought it to the notice of the Devasthan Committees that these stalls should not be granted permissions as they were a health hazard as food was cooked and served in an unhygienic manner.
