PANJIM: The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has directed the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) to stop the ongoing work of bridge between Cumbharjua and St Estevam village for failing to obtain necessary clearance.
The Authority has directed the GSIDC to undertake detail study with regards to ecological assessment and socio-economic benefit of the project.
St Estevan Biodiversity Management Committee had approached the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority for necessary directions. A petition was also filed before the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
