GSL assures to maintain supply of dengue testing kit to Chicalim Cottage Hospital

VASCO: Taking serious cognizance of the media report about increase in dengue fever cases in Mormugao taluka and non-availability of dengue testing kits at Cottage Hospital at Chicalim, the Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) on Monday assured to maintain supply of dengue testing kit to the Cottage Hospital for poor and needy people from Mormugao taluka.

VASCO: Taking serious cognizance of the media report about increase in dengue fever cases in Mormugao taluka and non-availability of dengue testing kits at Cottage Hospital at Chicalim, the Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) on Monday assured to maintain supply of dengue testing kit to the Cottage Hospital for poor and needy people from Mormugao taluka. 
As part of its CSR activity GSL also donated about 100 dengue fever testing kits to the cottage hospital in presence of Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and other officials from Cottage Hospital Chicalim on Monday.
Speaking to reporters Commodore B B Nagpal, Director Corporate Planning, Project & Business Development), Goa (GSL) said, “When I read the report in the newspaper about rise in dengue cases in port town, we decided to come forward and to help the poor people who cannot afford to pay fees for dengue testing kits. Today we have given 100 kits and we would continue the supply of kits as and when required. Also we want to inform the people that GSL have already adopted three municipal wards (15, 20, 21) and we are happy to announce that we have been maintaining cleanliness in these three wards as part of our CSR activity. We have also adopted ITI Vasco, road from St Andrew’s junction to airport, besides that we have been taking up other initiatives for port town so that GSL always remains as part of the town and its people,” Nagpal said.  
Meanwhile, Chicalim cottage hospital authorities assured that they would use the dengue testing kits judiciously by providing the same to all poor and needy people.
