PANJIM: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) candidate Anand Shirodkar on Tuesday cautioned Panjim voters not to fall a prey to Manohar Parrikar’s bluffs.
“Manohar Parrikar has admitted his failure to attend to Panjim’s problems by declaring that he will now (after 21 years of representing Panjim in the Goa Assembly, 7 out of which as the CM of Goa) appoint a special committee under an IAS officer to address the woes of Panjim residents,” Shirodkar said, adding, “Committees can never succeed where an MLA has failed for 22 years.”
“It is common knowledge that Parrikar as the CM tried to stifle the working of CCP when the BJP-supported group could not win the corporation election. Unless the MLA works in close co-ordination with the Corporation and the government, problems will remain unsolved,” he said.
