GSM declares three N Goa candidates

They are Paresh Raikar (Siolim), Atmaram Gaonkar (Mayem) and Suresh Amonkar (Sankhali)

MAPUSA:  The Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) on Monday declared its three candidates for North Goa. 
The candidates are Paresh Raikar (Siolim), Atmaram Gaonkar (Mayem) and Suresh Amonkar (Sankhali). 
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Mahila GSM president Adv Roshan Samant said the Manch if voted to power in the upcoming 2017 Goa Assembly elections will stop grants to English medium primary schools for the academic year 2017-18.
The GSM in its manifesto announced that it would take up on priority problems such as roads, water, and electricity and will also put an end to Western dance and EDM festivals in Goa. Along with this, the entertainment tax, which the Sunburn and Supersonic officials failed to pay the present government, would be cleared. A task officer such as Deputy Collector will be appointed to solve the financial problem of Mayem locals. The GSM will accord top priority to Chorao Bridge and will ensure in making Goa a cultural tourism destination.
The press conference was attended by Atmaram Gaonkar, GSM North Goa secretary; Nandan Sawant, GSM North Goa president; Sunil Methar, GSM North Goa vice president; Tukaram Narulkar, Damodar Naik, Pranav Banaulikar, Adv Roshan Samant and Paresh Raikar.
