PANJIM: The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has directed a bar owner at Vaddy-Siolimto suspend its operations for running it without obtaining consent to operate.
According to the order issued by the GSPCB, officials of the board had conducted an inspection of the bar in September this year and found that the bar had a restaurant with a seating capacity of 46 persons, which had not obtained consent to operate under the Water Act and the Air Act.
The GSPCB has asked the bar owner to suspend its operations till the time the Board grants it a valid consent to operate.
The Board has warned of stringent action if the bar owner fails to comply with the aforesaid directions within the stipulated time period.
