GU urged to cancel or hold final year PG exams online

PANJIM: Goa University’s decision to hold offline exams of final year students of undergraduate and post-graduate level has left the students in apprehension over their safety as the State still reels under COVID-19 second wave.

Goa University Post Graduation Students Council president Sanmesh Shet has written to the Registrar of Goa University Radhika Nayak informing her about the plight of Third year and Post Graduation final year students. The Council has urged the Registrar to cancel the final year exams or to conduct them in online mode.

“Many students have lost their family members and their loved ones; they are already going through mental health issues. If exams are held in offline mode there is risk to the student, his family and teachers,” reads the letter besides other issues.
