GU urged to withdraw HIV test for PG prog

PANJIM: The Human Touch Foundation, working in Goa in the area of HIV, sexual and reproductive health, TB and substance abuse has demanded immediate withdrawal of discriminatory procedure of making HIV testing a pre-requisite and part of admission procedure for obtaining admission in PG programmes (MBA) of Goa University.

In a letter to the Goa University Vice Chancellor, the Human Touch Foundation Founder and Chief Executive Officer Peter Borges has demanded the university should immediately withdraw its discriminatory procedure since it was a blatant violation of HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017.
