PANJIM: The Goa University has withdrawn the criteria of compulsory attendance for general degree courses of all its affiliated colleges, thereby allowing students irrespective of their attendance to answer the semester exams.
In a circular GU Registrar Prof V S Nadkarni has informed all its affiliated colleges offering undergraduate general education programmes that in view of the Universities decision to introduce the NEP 2020 based curriculum for the academic year 2023-24 and for the effective smooth transition from existing curriculum to NEP 2020 based curriculum, the requirements of OA-17 in terms of minimum attendance shall not be applicable to students of general education programmes, which are presently in Semester II, IV and VI thereby permitting them to answer their exams scheduled in April 2023.
