The Goa Police on Sunday felicitated Bank of Maharashtra security guard Ranu Singh with a certificate along with a cash prize for his commendable bravery by averting an ATM robbery attempt.
Addressing the media, Director General of Police (DGP) Muktesh Chander said, “There was an attempt to steal the money from the ATM but the security guard Ranu Singh foiled the attempt. The person who was seen on the CCTV was carrying hammer and during the tussle his mask went off and got completely exposed on camera but managed to get away.”
“The Goa Police Department is happy with the bravery and that is the reason we have decided to give him certificate and cash reward. Also Panjim Police Station has filed a FIR in this connection. The accused would be arrested soon,” Chander assured.
