PANJIM: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Goa Police has arrested a Gujarat based hotelier for trafficking a 21-year-old girl and allegedly raping her by promising to make her a fashion model.
The Goa Police AHTU arrested Anant Kumar after the girl complaint of rape, sexual harassment and trafficking her. The victim girl has informed in her complaint that she was brought to Goa by the accused to gather information on spa businesses. She also informed that the accused had paid for her air tickets to and fro. In her complaint the 21-year-old victim girl has alleged that she was taken to a hotel in Calangute by the accused and was raped several times and video filmed. The accused also blackmailed the victim girl to get her into prostitution.
The Goa police team after taking the help of local police in Gandhidham, Gujarat has arrested the accused. The accused is being brought to Goa on a transit remand.
