PONDA: A teenager from Gujarat, who had arrived in Ponda a few days ago, allegedly committed suicide by consuming rat poison.
Police said his family suspects that the teenager had arrived in Goa for a job and may have committed suicide as he was unhappy with his present job.
He was residing at Prabunagar, Curti at his brother’s residence.
On Sunday night after having dinner with his brother and other members he complained of vomiting. He was shifted to the Sub District Hospital, Ponda and later to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
However on Monday he succumbed while undergoing treatment.
