VASCO: The Vasco police seized contraband guthka from a truck in Vasco. Following a tipoff, a truck bearing registration number GA-06-T-2600 was intercepted and checked by the Vasco police.
The truck was found carrying contraband guthka which is banned in Goa. Three nylon bags were found in the truck containing guthka. The driver of the truck who is a Haveri-Karnataka native has been booked under the Section 87 of the Goa Public Health Amendment Act, 2005.
The accused driver Mohammed Rafik Pathan (47) has been taken into custody for a day. The police are investigating to find the source of guthka.
