ASSOLNA: Assolna Sarpanch Xavier Almeida on Friday has urged Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai not to give his assent to the recently hastily passed Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini Bill 2021 in the just concluded three-day Goa Legislative Assembly session.

In letter addressed to Governor Pillai, Assolna Sarpanch Xavier has stated, “Bhumiputra Bill is a sensitive issue as far as indigenous people of our village are concerned. They strongly object to this unwarranted Bill as it will affect the efforts of the committee to protect and preserve for sustainable development for the future generations to come.
