PANJIM: Haier has been recognised as the No 1 Global Major Appliances Brand for the fifth time. According to 2013 Global Major Appliances Brand rankings released by Euromonitor International Haier has been ranked the world’s number one major home appliances brand with a 9.7 percent retail volume share. In terms of manufacturer rankings, Haier gained the top position with an 11.6 percent market share, while Whirlpool and Electrolux remained Haier’s strong competitors. Haier also maintained its leadership position in the global markets for refrigerators, washing machines, wine coolers and freezers. According to the research data, this is the fifth time Haier has been recognized as the No 1 Global Major Appliances Brand.
