Hanumant Parab of Pissurlem
Farmers Association has filed a complaint against Valpoi Police Inspector Sagar
Ekoskar and PSI Prajyot Phadte at State Police complaints authority on Monday for
assaulting 14 farmers who were protesting against transport or ore. Transportation
is happening despite the order of Courts banning mining transportation through
the villages.

Hanumant Parab stated that State Government had failed to act on
the case.
He alleged, “We had met Home Minister who is also the Chief
Minister and he had assured solutions, but on the contrary, we get
assaulted”.

The complainant alleged political involvement even as inquiry
and officers were allotted.
“The name of a Minister we will reveal soon” warned
Hanumant Parab.

The complainant also alleged that mining lease holders and buyers of ore
are the main enemies of the farmers of Pissurlem.
Government auctions and sells ore from mining lease which is
under investigation by SIT and is not in operation for several years
