MARGAO: The haphazard sewerage work on the highway in front of Margao’s KTC bus stand irked has commuters and locals and they blame the shoddy work for the recent spate of accidents.
The roads that were dug up for the laying of a sewerage line have been covered up poorly. It has caused multiple accidents as two-wheelers tend to lose balance upon it. The road is frequented by thousands on a daily basis so locals have warned that the situation will get even worse once the monsoon sets in and questioned why this problem was not looked into earlier.
Locals have also raised this issue before the PWD Department and officials assured to resolve this issue. PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral was also informed about this issue and he too promised to see that the matter is resolved.
